Generic Dibenzyline or Phenoxybenzamine belongs to the class of medicine known as alpha blocker. This medicine is used in treating high blood pressure and sweating that occurs due to the tumour of the adrenal gland. The medicine relaxes and widens the blood vessel and thus, blood flows easily.

Additionally, generic Dibenzyline is also used for treating problem related to blood circulation known as Raynaud’s syndrome. This medicine is used for the treatment of urine related problem such as neurogenic bladder, partial prostatic obstruction.

Generic Dibenzyline should be stored at a temperature that ranges from 15-30 degree centigrade.

The active ingredient present in generic Dibenzyline is phenoxybenzamine hydrochloride that is chemically known as N-(2-Chloroethyl)-N-(1-methyl-2-phenoxyethyl)benzylamine hydrochloride. It is soluble in water, chloroform and alcohol whereas insoluble in ether.

The inactive ingredients present in the tablet of generic Dibenzyline include sodium lauryl sulphate, D &C red #33, FD & C red # 3, FD &C yellow # 6, gelatine NF, silicon dioxide NF and lactose NF.

Dosage

The patient should be given initially low dose of generic Dibenzyline. Based on the response of the medicine and the requirement of the body, the dose can be increased further. When the dose is increased, the patient should closely observe the effect and the changes that they might feel.

At first a low dose of 10 mg of generic Dibenzyline should be given twice in day. The dose should be increased to 20 mg or 30 mg normally twice or thrice in day and once the optimal level of blood pressure is achieved, the medicine should be taken accordingly.

Side Effects

The patient might suffer from nausea, drowsiness, dizziness, stomach upset and decrease in the pupil size after the intake of generic Dibenzyline.

Some user of generic Dibenzyline might experience light-headedness and dizziness after the intake of this medicine.

Sometimes the patient might feel fast heartbeat, faintness, trouble in ejaculation in case of male and weakness.

The male patient might feel painful or prolonged ejaculation that might last for 4 or more hours after the using generic Dibenzyline.

Precaution
