Details

Cosopt eye drop is a combination of Dorzolamide which is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitors and Timolol belongs to beta blockers agent. Timolol is a beta-blocker medicine and this drug acts to block the beta receptors and reduces the quantity of aqueous humour in the eyes by lowering the pressure. Dorzolamide is carbonic anhydrase inhibitor which works to block the action of carbonic anhydrase enzyme in the body. Carbonic anhydrase causes the production of bicarbonate in the body and this Bicarbonate is desirable for the creation of the aqueous humour in the eyes. By declining the manufacture of bicarbonate, the production of aqueous humour also decreases.
