Latoprost eye drop is mostly indicated in the treatment of hypotrichosis (short eyelashes). Latoprost eye drop also increases the thickness, length and black color of eyelashes.  Latoprost also indicated in the treatment of glaucoma. Latanoprost is the main therapeutic agent present in the Latoprost eye drop. Latoprost reduces the pressure in the eye by raising fluid drainage from the eye.

 Dosage of Latoprost eye drop

The prescribed dosage of Latoprost eye drop is mentioned below

  1.   For the treatment of intraocular hypertension – 1 drop of Latoprost in the affected eyes once daily in the evening time.
  2.   For the treatment of glaucoma – 1 drop of Latoprost eye drop in the affected eyes once daily in the evening time.

How to use Latoprost eye drop- One drop of Latoprost eye drop should be applied with the help of the sterile eye liner. Shake well before use and put in your eyes. Never touch the surface part of eye drop, always prevent contamination of eye drop. Don’t blink your eyes. Don’t use the excess amount of eye drop. Always keep the eye drop closed. At the time of using Latoprost eye drop close your eyes at least 2 to 4 minutes.

Missed dose of Latoprost eye drop

If you miss a dose of Latoprost eye drop take it as soon as possible. Never take the 2 drops of Latoprost eye drop because it may lead to some severe problems.

Overdose of Latoprost eye drop

In case of overdosing of Latoprost eye drop immediately ask to your doctors and get some treatment from overdosing of Latoprost eye drop.
