Patients with below listed health conditions should avoid using this treatment:

  1. hypersensitivity to any part of its preparation components.

  2. patients with sinus bradycardia, atrioventricular block, cardiogenic shock, or overt cardiac failure like serious health issues. If you have any type of severe health condition, check with your doctor before taking this treatment.

What are the precautions associated with Betaxolol HCl Ophthalmic solution?

  1. While using this medication do not touch dropper tip with fingers or to any surface to avoid contamination of the solution.

  2. Betaxolol HCl belongs to the class of beta-adrenergic blocking medicines, which should be administered with caution in patients with spontaneous hypoglycemia and diabetic like problems. Patients should consult with doctor before using this eye care product if he or she has any severe type of health issues.

  3. Patients suspected to have thyroid issues should also use this medication only in supervision of medical professional.

  4. If you are supposed to undergo any surgery you should inform your doctor that you are taking treatment with this eye drop. This is a beta-adrenergic blocking agent which should be gradually withdraw  before using general anesthesia as it may affect normal functioning of heart.

  5. This medication should be used with caution in females who are pregnant or planning for pregnancy.

  6. Betaxolol HCl should also be used with caution in breast feeding females as this medication may trouble the health of baby.

How I should use this medication?

  1. Clean your hands before you are planning to use the eye drops.

  2. Generally, a single drop of Betaxolol HCl should be put into the affected eye(s) two times per day as long as you are recommended to have this medication.

  3. Gently open the eye pocket and use the medication as per instructions. During use put attention on safety warnings and avoid touching the tip of the dropper with any surface. This can cause your medication contaminated and if you use a contaminated medicine, your eyes can get infection.
